DETAILS ABOUT THE PROCESS

The CLR Practitioners meet briefly with the administrator or designated CLR lead at the beginning of the day. The leaders do not participate in the observations.

Each cadre member will be visited for a 15-minute observation. Using an observation tool, the CLR Practitioner looks at student engagement, classroom management, and any preliminary use of the CLR strategies.

After all, visits are complete, the CLR Practitioners lead a team to debrief that includes all teachers in the cadre and the school/CLR leader.

Pre-visit email exchange: lesson plan sharing and feedback

30 minute classroom visit

20 minute individual debrief
DETAILS ABOUT THE PROCESS

All cadre members must submit their lesson plan preview at least 48 hours prior to the visit to their CLR practitioner.

All cadre members are observed by a CLR coach for 30-minutes on a specific lesson. Using an observation tool, the CLR practitioner looks at student engagement, classroom management, and any preliminary use of the CLR strategies.

Individual debriefs with each cadre member and CLR practitioner occur for 20 minutes after each the visit

Copies of observation notes are maintained electronically and shared only with the teacher.
