I always think it’s super helpful to revisit co-created classroom ways of being and edit/revise with students taking the lead. This is also a great time to give students the cultural behaviors survey.

I think spending just a moment, using a CLR discussion and a response protocol, to have students to share. The share should be open ended enough so that all students can contribute. Perhaps have the share to be able their expectations for the upcoming or the remainder of the school year.

Review our classroom norms, identify some goals/curiosities that we may want to explore for the remainder of the school year…In my 4th grade class, I retaught right away the importance of distinguishing between “kids culture mode” vs “school culture mode” and provided examples that show the differences between “shoutouts” vs “blurting out”….
